Heureux Anniversaire 10 Mois!

Sloane is now 10 months old! Two months away from being a year old. WOW! She is growing so FAST!

So 10 months has been quite eventful! Sloane is mobile! She is crawling! Yay! Geaux Sloane! It is such a joy to see my little girl grow and become independent. She also enjoys walking with her activity walker, so we have a feeling that she will be walking on her own soon. As you can see from the photo collage, she is constantly moving!

Sloane continues to bring so much joy to our lives. We planned to have a baby, and God truly blessed us with this sweet beautiful little girl. She continues to eat well and enjoys feeding herself. I am making the majority of her food, and still having fun doing so. Some of her favorites are pumpkin squash, peas, chicken, apples and pears, mangoes, spinach, carrots, bananas, and she really likes her little rice cake snacks.

She has a total of 6 teeth now, and she is currently teething again! That has been a battle. Even though she is in discomfort at times, she doesn't fuss too much, and she definitely does not let it hinder her meal times! I am also preparing to ween her off of breast milk, in preparation of drinking whole vitamin A&D milk when she turns 12 months. She is doing great with drinking water from her sippy cup, so I'm sure she will have no problems doing the same with milk.

We are excited about celebrating her first Halloween! She is going to be the cutest elephant, and I also bought a tick-or-treat bag with her name monogramed on the front. Look for those pictures soon =)

I am trying to be as social as possible with Sloane by taking her to different play groups in town during the week. The only issue is that they often conflict with nap time. Which brings me to stating that sleep training has truly come full circle!

Sloane is now asleep at night by 7:00 p.m., and wakes between 6:30-7:00 a.m. daily. Yay! We are so proud of her! She no longer cries or wakes at night unless she is overtired or dealing with the issues from teething, and it only takes about 10-15 minutes tops to calm her, and she puts herself back to sleep. So, night sleep is GREAT!

Naps on the other hand are still a bit shaky. Her morning nap is from 9:30-11:30 a.m., and her afternoon nap is from 2-3:00 p.m. Sloane normally sleeps from 9:30-10:30 a.m. and 2:00-3:00 p.m. So the morning nap has been our achilles heel. However, we can't really complain because she is sleeping through the night, and as long as she gets 13-14 hours of sleep a day she is doing well.

All in all things are AWESOME with our little angel. She is a smart and loving baby, always smiling and bringing such joy to our daily lives.

Maman et Papa t'aiment Sloane!
